Yevhen Manyshyn was born in Lviv in 1946 and began pursuing his artistic studies during childhood. As a graduate of the Lviv Art School for Children, Lviv College of Applied Arts, and Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, Yevhen has studied under the likes of R. Turyn, Z. Maslyak, T. Dragan, and other such renowned teachers. Beginning with his first personal show in 1970, he has taken part in numerous national and international exhibitions and workshops over the years. He is a member of the National Artists' Union of Ukraine and in 1989, the painter was honored with the title of Merited Artist of Ukraine. His paintings can be found in the private collections of art enthusiasts from many different nations.
Artworks of Yevhen Manyshyn have been published in ContempoARTukraine magazine, a quaterly publication featuring contemporary Ukrainian artists.
